If a respondent says they submitted but you don't see the response, work through these in order.
Step 1: Confirm the submission really happened
Ask the respondent to forward you the confirmation screen they saw. If they didn't reach the thank-you screen, the submission probably failed on their end (likely a validation error or network blip).
If they reached the thank-you screen, the response was saved — keep going.
Step 2: Check your filters and view
In the responses page, make sure:
- You're on the Table view (Individual / Summary may not show every response).
- No column filters are active.
- The right form is selected from the form picker.
Step 3: Check the time range
The responses table sorts newest-first by default. Check the date / time of the missing submission and scroll back to that point in the list.
Step 4: Check your response limit at submission time
If you were close to or over your monthly response cap when the respondent submitted, the submission may have been rejected with a "limit reached" error.
Open Account settings → Plan to see your current count and limit. If the count is at the cap, that's likely why.
Step 5: Check the webhook (if you rely on it for downstream systems)
If you process responses via webhook, the webhook itself might have failed silently — but the response should still show in the NodumForms dashboard. If it's missing from BOTH the dashboard and your webhook destination, the submission was rejected somewhere upstream.
Step 6: Contact support
If you've ruled all of the above out, email support@nodumforms.com with:
- The form URL.
- The respondent's approximate submission timestamp (within an hour is fine).
- Any answer values you remember — helps us identify the row in logs.
We can usually find a trace within an hour.
